Job Title:          Cohort Leader

Reports To:       Teaching/Student Affairs Committee

Description:

The Voices Cohort Leader supports students through community building and helping students to connect their learning to the local context. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of community development, a heart for kingdom justice, a passion for learning and a commitment to the pursuit of a decolonized education and world view.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit and assist in the selection of local cohort members
• Attend or review weekly classes
• Meet bi-weekly with local cohort members for discussion of class content and community building
• Inspire, motivate, and encourage students
• Advise students regarding time management and assignments
• Ensure student engagement and awareness of course requirements
• Advise TSA committee of concerns regarding specific student progress

Qualifications:

• Strong communications skills, both written and oral
• Pastoral care
• Cultural competency
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or related work experience

Opportunities:

• Participate on Voices School governance

This is a part-time, contract position; $500/course
